Jeanneau & Beneteau are to the French boat market what Renault and Peugeot are to the French car market and the Merry Fisher range of boats has sold around 30,000 examples. A testament to their quality, versatility and popularity.

This Merry Fisher 925 Fly left the yard in 2006 and looks to be just a couple of years old. A real credit to her owners. Fitted with bow thruster (serviced 2024) & stern thruster (new 2022) for extreme manoeuvrability, well equipped for navigation and comfort aboard she also looks to have been well maintained.

Hull stripped back to gelcoat in 2023 then coated with two epoxy primers and finished with Hemple antifouling. Regular engine servicing by professionals with oil analysis to check condition.

She shows all the signs of conscientious ownership.

The aft deck with teak covering is fully protected by a full canvas tent for cooler or inclement weather or just fly screens to allow cool airflow and light but keep out the beasties in summer.

There is space to seat four and large hatches give access to huge under deck storage. Aft is a door to the swim platform with swim ladder and hot & cold-water deck shower.

Stairs give access to the flybridge with helm and seating. Forward of the aft deck is the saloon accessed by sliding “French window” in classic sedan style. This gives plenty of light and adds to the open spacious feeling of the saloon which I found quite impressive for a boat of less than 10 meters long.

All the finishings appear to be in very good condition and spotlessly clean. Headroom here is 1.89m and the dinette converts to a berth of 1.7m x 0.9m. Galley equipped with sink, two burner gas hob a built-in microwave and 49l fridge new in 2020. Helm station to starboard forward.

The Volvo D4-260 engine is housed under the saloon floor beneath two layers of sound insulation. Forward & down to the heads to port. Jabsco electric heads, 60 litre holding tank sink and shower. Headroom here is 1.8m. To starboard is a single berth cabin which is used as extra storage at the moment whilst the boat is winterised. Headroom is 1.79m and the bed 1.6m x 0.5m. Finally, the owners cabin with a double bed 2m x 1.35m. Froli Star bed base (see our photo & video) new in 2023.

Heating is from electric panel radiators (whilst on shore power). A/C from a mobile A/C unit (new 2020) again whilst on shore power. Entertainment from a 12v/220v TV with Omnimax antenna and music from an Android auto radio. Wifi modem 4G. For security and as an aid to navigation there are 4 micro cameras on board with tactile monitor/recorder (new 2023).

For security a motorised camera controlled and viewed from mobile ‘phone (new 2023).

Systems monitoring (battery temperature, room heat detector, flooding detector, door open detector) new in 2023 and consultable by mobile ‘phone. Allows monitoring for intrusion and technical anomaly.
